Checklist: Commissioning of PALUX equipment after a longer shutdown
After a longer period of closing down, restaurateurs should professionally put the existing kitchen technology equipment back into operation.
Ideally, you should get support from a service technician for the professional recommissioning.
Checklist: (Re-)Commissioning
Generally applies to all PALUX devices:
- For your own safety: Installation, maintenance and repair work may only be carried out by gas or electrical specialists.
- Always wear protective gloves and protective clothing!
- Please also follow the instructions in the respective original operating manual!
- Only use original accessories and original spare parts.
- We also recommend that you conclude a maintenance contract with the customer service. This will ensure that you are always well supported – even in these difficult times.
In general, it is essential to observe the following:
- Do not switch on all devices at the same time to avoid power peaks and overloads!
- Instead, switch on power for each device individually.
For Thermal Appliances
- Perform basic cleaning of the appliance
- For electrical appliances: Switch on power
- For gas appliances: Turn on the gas supply
- check whether all lines are still in good condition and leak-proof
- Fill the device with operating materials (e.g. oil/grease in deep fryers or water in bain-maries)
- Switch on the device properly
- Perform function test
- Refer to the operating instructions
- In case of technical problems or faulty equipment, always call a service technician
For Combi-Steamers and Pressure Steamer
- For electrical appliances: Switch on power
- For gas appliances: Open gas valve
- Replenish cleaning agent
- Turn on the water supply
- Switch on the device properly
- Perform a function test of the cooking processes
- Rinse pull-out shower (if present)
- Perform basic cleaning of the appliance
- Carry out a visual inspection, especially of the water-carrying parts
- Refer to the operating instructions
- In case of technical problems or faulty equipment, always call a service technician
For Refrigeration

- Switch on power
